Logical system for database schema SAPHANADB does not exist

When activating a function for model view and source DDIC table ACDOCA, we receive an error message that "Logical system for database schema SAPHANADB does not exist".

We suspect there is an issue with the post installation. However we have checked with our basis team to ensure logical system, DBCON, source system etc. have been setup correctly.

Has anyone come across this issue in their implementation? If so, what were the steps to resolve?

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Greetings!

I understand that you have already checked this with your basis team. However, the issue still persists and for us to be sure, I suggest you to kindly follow the steps in this link https://help.sap.com/viewer/a8068ea2f9ba403aa6d8bda3abcdbecd/3.13/en-US/43b72bae800b4f909e3d5779c374... and check if this was not missed during the post-installation activity.

On your BW client of the system, kindly go to RSA1 > click Source Systems > expand SAP HANA folder > kindly check if the Source System <your SAP SID schema> (for example "SAPIAD") is already created. Also aside from this, kindly ensure also that _SYS_BIC is maintained.

If not, we suggest that kindly request the basis team to perform the steps in the provided link.

Thank you so much and have a nice day!

Best regards,
Kevin
