Dear Collegue,

it is my first time with BPC embedded, and we have some problem to link the Analysis Office Workbook with me planing model.

i found a link that explaint that, in the last point explained how to do to link Analysis Office Workbook to planning model, the first problem is that the guide says that i have to change the registry, when i executed the REGEDIT and look for the  KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\AdvancedAnalysis\Settings\Planning i dont have this data.

Then when i open my workbook and go to tab Analysis. Select button Display Design Panel. On design panel go to Components and tab Planning.  But when i look for my plan model i dont found any model.

Could you help me.

Regards

Hi Stefan,

i found also  note 2227206  but did not solve the problem.

I try to manually install the note you suggest (2286143) but it is not relevant on my system (strnage because I'm on BW 7.5 sp 1)

I try to manually insert a row for MODL on table RSOBJS_OBJ_TYPES but no resutl.

Hi Stefano,

i've found a note that describes this problem. Note 2286143

Root cause are missing entries (e.g. for the Object / TLOGO Type MODL -> Embedded Model) in the table RSOBJS_OBJ_TYPES.

We will upgrade to SP04 as soon as we can. For now I've created the MODL entry manually which helped to show the model in AO. But there are still some issues with it.

I guess it's because of some other missing Types.

Best regards,

Stefan

Hi,

I'm experiencing the same problem.

We're on SAP BW / NW 7.5 SP03.

Thank you for any support.

Hi,

without knowing the Analysis Office (AO) version it is hard to help here. Please use the latest AO version, e.g. 2.2 or 2.3. In the 'Design Panel' you find under 'Components' and 'Planning' a field 'Planning Model'. Call the F4 help and choose the planning model i.e. the BPC Environment and BPC Model. These object are concatenated in the F4 help. Save the workbook.

Hello Gregor,

thank you for your quick response.

We already have AO version 2.3 installed. As you can see in the attached screenshot there is nothing to choose from when I try to assign a planning Model.

Refresh and trying to search do not deliver any results either.

Maybe I'm still doing something wrong...

This is what I did to create a BPC Embedded Planning scenario:

1. Created a planning scenario with "BI-IP" => Planning-Cube, MultiProvider, Aggregation Level and Input ready Query (=> all of this works seemlessly)

2. Created a BPC Embedded  Model and assigned the corresponding InfoProvider

3. Opened the input ready query in AO 2.3

4. Attempt to assign a planning model fails (no Environment is shown and also no Planning Models)

The installation was done 1:1 as in the installation Guide for BW 7.5

We do connect directly to Netweaver and do NOT have a BI Platform in use.

Thanks again for any hints.

Best regards,

Stefan
