Hello,
We are implementing our first direct filing with ACE using GTS. It has been an eye opening experience. Anyway, we have come across an issue that we would like to see how it is handled in other installations.
For ACE incompletion checks, the license ( or license exception ) information is automatically created, if configured to do so. We did. However, for license exceptions, the exception code (like GBS, GFT, NLR, etc) is not being placed into PAPNO, where it is expected. Even if deleted and manually entered, GTS will over write the manual entry placing the external license number in the PAPNO field..
We do have OSS Message to SAP on this behavior. We wish to have the highest level of integration and automation. We believe this behavior needs to be revised.
So, if you are filing directy with ACE, have you experienced this behavior? If so, how did you resolve?
Thank you in advanced.
Regards, Dean.

Hi Dean,
Since you are talking about licenses, I assume you are referring to an AES interface to ACE and not an import? If yes, the actual license type is not needed and only the license code is required (see AESTIR Appendix F for mapping). You can configure in SPRO under Define License Type (e.g, NLR is C32, GBS is C36, etc). If you go this route, then the /SAPSLL/E2CCEILC idoc segment will populate KSAEX as your license type and EXLIC as your license #. I've seen a few other folks submit via the PAPNO route as you're doing, but it isn't necessary as long as you maintain the license code directly in SPRO under Define License Type. I know this doesn't answer your question directly, but it bypasses the PAPNO all together.

Hello Jessica,
Thank you for your response. That is exactly what we did with Document in Customs Management. There is a External License section below that, that we didn't configure. Are you saying, don't configure the Document in Customs Management?
If so, what about the edits in include /SAPSLL/LINCOMP_CHECK_USF03?
Again, Thank you for your response.
