Dear Community,
How do I prevent users to create a LO longer than 6 months?
Request clarification before answering.

Hi Franz Posch,
When the end user creates a LO with t-code FOV1 , they select the Contract Type. I have created a contract type LET1, with a maximum term of 6 months in CONFIG. Now if the end user creates the LO for longer than 6 months, the system will give a message "For adjustment type 1, comply with maximum term of 006 months". Message no 62711.
But if the end user enters, the LO is created. I changed the message with OBA5, application area RECN, to E for error, but the end user can still create the LO for longer than 6 months. What am I missing?

Hi Annelize,
would you be so kind to explain your requirement in more detail for better understanding, maybe with some example.
Thanks.
Regards, Franz
