The short answer to your question is yes. There are two options here depending on what you are trying to achieve. If you want the valuation to begin in October 2022 and post all amounts (catch up in January 2023), then execute transaction RECEEP with a Period date of 1/2023 and posting date of 1/2023. The system will then post all open values from the first posting date in the current period (Period 1). If you are looking to only post the values from January forward based on your conversion (assuming you have already booked your Right of Use Asset/Liability through another application), then enter 01/2023 in the Start of Consideration field.
