We are on BPC 10.0 NW, SP5. When we post a journal, we get the error: Journal posting failed for 1 journal. Expanding on the details, it tells us:
JOURNAL_ERROR. Some records did not pass checks: security, work status, and so on, error checking work status.
In spite of the error, the journal is still posted. Also, if the user tries to post again, it will post again with the same journal number.
Work status state allows journal posting.
The error does not occur on all entities.
Any trouble shooting advise is appreciated.

Hi Rose,
if you try to find logfiles for Journal and / or Default logic, you can use Transaction UJFS in Backend (SAP GUI).
Choose your Environment and Model and then look for Folder privatepublications.
It is organized by user ID and Timestamp. So you need to know the user and the date and time the Journal is posted.
You will find a file called Journal.log or Default.log. This file can be downloaded to local System.
It is similar to data manager protocol.
Best regards

Hi Rose,
please check for Logic Journal.LGF.
That one is triggerd when you post a Journal.
Similar to Default.LGF when send values.
Best regards
