Is there any difference between GTS PFCG roles and ECC PFCG roles?

If we give same role naming convention in both GTS and ECC systems, will there be any issue with pfcg roles in GTS system after upgrade?

As per my understand there will be no issue with roles after GTS system upgrade if we use same pfcg role naming convention for GTS and ECC.

All GTS security experts please confirm if we can't use customer specific pfcg role naming convention for GTS for any reason (any issue during upgrade or patch).
