Hi Experts,

1- SYSTEM SHOULD SUPPORT on below given plateform

  • MICROSOFT SQL SERVER 2014
  • WINDOW SERVER 2012 R2
  • VMWARE vSphere 5.5

2-SOFTWARE SHOULD WORK ON BELOW GIVEN BROWSER

FIREFOX

CHROME

SAFARI

INTERNET EXP 11

3-SYSTEM have ability for attachments of supporting documents(PDF&MS word and excel).

4- User can access the system ,Integrated with microsoft active directory for single sign-on for client server or web access.

So these are the above question, Please help me to identify that which version is able handle above terms on SAP BPC 10 or 10.1 in NW .

Hi Ravi,

Instead of asking in the forum...its better to research and analyse such issues by yourself! If you have SID with you....please go through the PAM i.e Product Avaiklabkity Matrix of 10 and 10.1 from the links... to find out the compatibilities.

10 NW - SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 10.0, Version for SAP NetWeaver – SAP Help Portal Page

10.1 NW - SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 10.1, version for SAP NetWeaver – SAP Help Portal Page

If the client has already setup on Microsoft SQL server, then I think BPC 10 or 10.1 MS(Microsoft) version would be good for you!

10.1 MS -

SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 10.1, version for the Microsoft platform – SAP Help P...

10 MS- SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 10.0, version for the Microsoft platform – SAP Help P...

Hi Vadim,

Sorry for silly question  as i am having less knowledge on BW side.

So means that with BPC 10.0 (Netweaver) with BW i can connect the database SQL Server 2014 ?

IS it ?

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi Ravi,

Please read carefully...It says..."Any DB supported by NW" meaning any database which is compatible with NW! Click on "NW 7.4 PAM *" for more information on supported DB!

JP

BW is not a database, it's on top of some database - SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, HANA...

Hi JP,

That's the point in NW 7.4 its saying that it will support sql server, oracle, DB2 and many so means that BPC NW 10.1 will also support these database.

Like the same confusion In https://support.sap.com/dam/library/ssp/infopages/pam-essentials/BPC_10_NW.pdf

Its written that only below given browsers are supported

Internet Explorer 7.0 (32-bit only)  Internet Explorer 8.0 (32-bit only) (64-bit as of SP09)  Internet Explorer 9.0 (32-bit as of SP06) (64-bit as of SP09)  Internet Explorer 10.0 (as of SP10)  Internet Explorer 11.0 (as of BPC 10.0 SP18 and EPM Add-In SP22)  Firefox Rapid Release  Adobe Flash Player 11.0 (as of SP06)

there is no name of safari

and in NW 7.4 it is written that it will support even safri

https://support.sap.com/content/dam/library/ssp/infopages/pam-essentials/TIP/NW74PAMBrow.pdf

So what does it means ? SAP BPC 10 will support safari or not as in the release notes they have not mentioned safari

but in NW 7.4 they mentioned  safari .

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi JP,

Client is asking for safari browser of BPC , But i really do not know that is this support and if support then on which version SAP BPC 10 (NW) or In BPC 10.1 (NW).

They asked this question and because of these release notes i am more confused now..

Like the same way they asked that sql server 2014 which will support SAP BPC 10 (NW) or In BPC 10.1 (NW).

As they are planing to implement bpc for there cost and revenue planning ...

If both sql 2014 and safari is not supported by BPC 10 and 10.1 (NW), then i will tell them  that it is not possible, But till now i have not got my answer and release documents are created more confusion

Thanks,

Ravi

You need a valid S'ID to access SAP notes (ask basis team)! Without access to SAP notes you can't provide  BPC support!

Search notes!!!!

https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/mynotes

And looks like you are searching without understanding of systems and terminology... A lot of training required!
