IS Balance Carryforward Mandatory?

Hello experts,

I have a question regarding Consolidation prcess. We are doing a project were we are going to Consolidate a Company group that has everything in ECC (all trans data). We are doing the model to extract all the information from ECC and have it in BW; since we will have all the info form the ECC for all Comanies, I am asuming that we won´t need to Set up Balance Carry Forward for the model, or is it mandatory at some point??

Do you have any BPC input? Journals etc.?

Not Yet, we are designing from scratch, but I wonder if BCF needs to be configured.

BCF is needed if you have some values in BBC not coming from ECC

Thank you very much Vadim. I am marking the first comment as correct bc was not possible to mark the second one. ONe last Quest, then what will happen with the info coming from ECC for the next months??
