InvalidTaxException : Bad tax framework feature

Hi Experts,

We are facing error when testing with "chargeableItemCharging" SAP CC .

• We have tax disabled in SAP CC.

• The tax determination type in output is “01”

• When we are sending the data through CM or using the SOAP API for “chargeableItemCharging” we are getting the error –

• “ <status>error</status>

<message>The charging operation failed</message>

<error>

<category>invalidConfiguration</category>

<message>InvalidTaxException : Bad tax framework feature.</message><chargeableItem>

Please help. We have checked all the configuration in SAP SOM and CI, we did not find any missing configuration related to Tax.

Hi Archana,

The error you are getting seems to indicate an inconsistency between your subscriber account (the type of taxation chosen for it) and the tax frameworks enabled in your Convergent Charging system (in the system parameters).

Most likely your subscriber account is set to use the US taxing framework (EZTAX) but your CC system is configured to handle only European VAT taxes.

Can you please double-check that and, if you need more help, open a support ticket and send us your system parameters as well as the subscriber account itself?

We tried the above solution but are unable to update the tax category in subscriber Account. We have disabled the tax in charge plan but in subscriber account, the taxation type is US. system is not allowing us to change the taxation type in the SA in CC> Any suggestions are helpful.

I am facing the same error while distributing the contract from SOM to CC, please let me know if you found the root cause and resolution for this.
