Interest charge on Security Deposit Open items

Hi FICA Consultants,

We have a business scenario for a client as follows.Security Deposit statistical line item is overdue then no DPC/LPC to be levied against the same. However, if Security Deposit statistical line item is overdue along with the other charges is pending like Consumption or VAT charges then the DPC/LPC will apply as per the existing mapping in the system.

Kindly provide suitable events to map to the requirement and any valuable suggestion on this would be appreciate.

I would suggest you to use the clearing restriction 8 functionality for your requirement.

Step-1-Post the SD statisitical item with clearing restriction 8 (Enhance event 0042) Items with restriction 8 are not dunned or cleared;

Step-2-In the interest run,FPINTM1, custom selection, set an exclusion flag on the field main tr for the value 0020 and on the field restriction for value 8. This will not pick up the SD items with restriction 8. Alternatively you can do this in event 2010.

Step-3-With the next invoice execution, the restriction 8 is removed and the SD item becomes a part of the Invoice and the due date of the SD is aligned with the due date of the invoice.

Step-4- Now once the invoice is overdue, it will be picked in the interest run FPINTM1 along with the SD line items, as there is no 8 now.
