Intercompany Investment WBS Settlement Option in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

Hi Experts,

I am aware that after full WBS settlement we can perform intercompany asset transfer.

But is there any other standard option in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud to handle intercompany settlement between Investment WBS elements before or instead of asset transfer?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Good day @Tirukanagouda_K

Thank you for your question.

The simple answer is, no. However, I will explain the reason below.

To summarise, the public cloud does not support cross company settlement when Asset Accounting is involved. Investment WBS, AuC and final asset must be attached to the same company code. This is also confirmed in KBA 3456675. You can find the detail here: https://userapps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/en/3456675

That means, there is no standard option to perform an intercompany settlement between investment WBS elements before or instead of asset transfer.

My recommendation is to:

  • Settle the investment project in company code A to AuC and final asset.
  • Use Intercompany Asset Transfer within same country (1IH) to move the asset between your company codes. Below you will find more details on Scope Item 1IH

Should you at anytime need earlier intercompany allocation, your usual design separate investment projects in each company code and use intercompany billing or internal charging, while you keep settlement itself strictly intra company.

Best regards
