Integration of SAP Analytics for Cloud and SAP Business Planning Consolidation 11.0

Hi Experts,

We are in implementation of Planning scenario and Consolidation on BPC 11.1 standard.

We have also SAP Analytics for cloud in picture.

Planning applications in BPC have been previously integrated with SAC. However we are not sure about Consolidation.

Can we integrate Consolidation model in BPC with SAC? Any details would be grateful even if it is for lower BPC version.

My Apologies Vadim. The correct answer would be

The SAP BPC standard Planning Model can be connect to SAC for the Planning(acquired data connection). (and not for reporting only(live data connections) scenarios)

SAC supports a lot of the Planning functionalities and it can be used as -

1. Hybrid Planning model - BPC on-premise + SAC (there is 2 way data sync feature in SAC, so the planning can be done from either platforms based on the business requirements, technical feasibility of each tool)

2. Stand Alone planning (Just FYI) - It can be directly connected(2 way) to the source data, BW/HANA/a lot of other data sources with the standard connectors, and the planning be carried out.

Currently SAC doesn't support consolidation activities or you can say it doesn't have an in-built consolidation engine (as BPC standard).

Consolidation Functions/Engine on SAC is in SAP's roadmap for the product. We should be seeing it very soon on SAC.

Thanks,

Vikrant Sharma

BPC standard (BPC 10.0 / BPC 10.1 / BPC 11.0) only supports import connectivity (regular model or writeback enabled model)

However, you can connect your consolidation model (live data connection/read only) to SAC for the reporting and dash boarding purpose.
