In S4 HANA Public Cloud where do I find Configuration for OKYD and OKEQ?

I have SAP S4 HANA books about Costing Version and CO Controlling Version 0 having exchange rate type marked but they all refer to t-codes OKYD and OKEQ.  Where do I find this configuration in S4 HANA Public Cloud?

I am not directly familiar with the legacy transactions so I don't have a complete answer for you.

But I believe you are leading with the wrong question in regards to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

There is not a guaranteed 1:1 equivalency with OnPrem or Private.

You need to start with the requirement, then look into the best practices in the Process Navigator

To get started, the Fiori Apps Library will be helpful, for example, Schedule Product Costing Jobs

From there, you can see the relevant best practice for the job is Actual Costing (33Q)

The best practice will provide links to test scripts you can use to execute the process, perform configuration, etc.

Hello Jerry,

Thanks for your reply but I am curious how to create a Cost Estimate without using Exchange Rate Type "P". Currently when we run CK11N for a material at a Canadian location but sourced from a USA location it uses "P" to generate the new estimate price.  We want it to use "M" since we don't maintain the "P" rate.  Everything I read states you can make a change in Costing Version using OKYD but that is not available in Public Cloud.  I'm asking is how can we change the configuration for Costing Version 1 so that it uses Exchange Rate Type "M" instead of "P"

Also how do I view the CO Version Because I want to check what the Exchange Rate Type default is for the Controlling area Version.  s

Note:  Here is an example of how the Exchange Rate Type can be changed for CO Version 0 by using the SAP GUI t-code.  But in Public Cloud I cannot find how to change CO Versions or Costing Versions and I've search SAP For Me, SAP Community and SAP Help with no luck.

I checked with a colleague and got this feedback.

Exchange Rate issue for Material Cost Estimates
This is the standard behavior of the system. At another customer, the exchange rate type P was only maintained once a year. If they want to update the exchange rate it is possible but the common practice is to have a frozen exchange rate type P with the date of 01/01/Current Year.

So basically, change the rate of P instead of switching to M. In his case, can they simply maintain P (because he mentioned they do not currently maintain it)?

For now, I will leave this question unanswered and hopefully someone else can reply.

Thank you for the reply but when I do the search I get this:

The "Define Versions" search puts me in the Material Requirements Planning section not Production Cost.  

Any thoughts on why this is not showing what I need for costing?

Looks like you might be on a Solution Builder system versus a CBC -based configuration. 

Could be some of the naming is different, not sure.

You could expand your search to 'Cost' or 'Costing'.

You can find a list of all the available SSCUIs (configuration apps) on the Process Navigator, which might help

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, traditional GUI transaction codes such as OKYD (for Costing Versions) and OKEQ (for Controlling Versions) are unavailable. Instead, configuration is conducted through Self-Service Configuration UIs (SSCUI) or the Manage Your Solution app from your SAP Fiori launchpad.

To configure exchange rate types for Costing Version and Controlling Version 0, follow these steps:

1.Access the Configuration Environment;

• Navigate to the Manage Your Solution app.
• Select Configure Your Solution.

2. Configure Exchange Rate Types;

• Search for the SSCUI “Check Exchange Rate Types”.
• You can define or modify exchange rate types as required.

3.Assign Exchange Rate Types to Costing Versions;

• Search for the SSCUI “Define Costing Versions”.
• You can assign the appropriate exchange rate type to your costing versions in this configuration activity.

4.Assign Exchange Rate Types to Controlling Versions:

• Search for the SSCUI “Define Versions”.
• Here, you can assign exchange rate types to controlling versions, including version 0.

Please note that the availability of specific SSCUIs may depend on your system's configuration and user permissions. If you cannot locate these SSCUIs, consult with your system administrator to gain/permit you access.

Thank you for your question.

“Define Versions” leads to MRP and not Costing in your S/4HANA Public Cloud because the search term corresponds to a more generic SSCUI for planning versions used in MRP. To access costing versions, use SSCUI 102617 or ensure you are in the Product Cost Planning configuration area with scope item BJE activated.

Checkpoint	What to Do
Incorrect Role Assigned	Ensure the role SAP_BR_BPC_EXPERT (Business Process Configuration Expert) is assigned to your user.
Scope Item Not Activated	Confirm that Scope Item BJE – Product Cost Planning is activated in your system.
Search Too Broad	Instead of searching “Define Versions”, use the specific SSCUI number: 102617 to go directly to the correct configuration.
App Filter Too Narrow	Expand your filters by selecting All Application Areas, or specifically Finance, to view relevant costing-related apps.
