In asset master data quantity field need to be editable while creating the master data

Hello Experts,

While creating asset master data in S4hana public cloud user needs to give quantity so that while creating Purchase order quantity should not be exceeded than what has been mentioned in the master data.

Now while creating asset master data quantity field is showing grayed out.

Please guide me on this issue to resolve.

Quantity in the asset master data does not work like that, there is no standard way to do a comparison. 

Quantity is managed on the asset with ledger postings, it is not an editable field.

You could change quantity with Quantity Adjustments within app 'Post Asset Acquisition - And Quantity Adjustment' F6488 (But AFAIK no check will be performed with this quantity)
