Import ICMR for ECC Source Data

Hi Experts,
We are evaluating implementing ICMR for an organization that has most of its interco activity in an ECC data source.
The plan to implement Group Reporting Public Cloud.
1 How do we extract the BSEG data ?

2 What are the common matching fields for AP AR and income/expense?
I understand it can vary but I also believe it’s reference file 1,2,4 (XREF1..) and in BELNR for the BKPF table. However BKPF is not part of the ICMR matching field choices.

3 Do customers typically reconcile at the Transaction (FI document level) or group currency level?
4 If ETL is required than do we? Or how do we? use GRDC? GRDC will import ECC to GR and ECC/BSEG fields aren’t relevant or available to GR?

Hello Eyal, 

1. Please check the SAP Note 3114237 - How to enter data for non-S/4HANA systems into ICMR? 
2. XBLNR in table BKPF is the common matching fields for AP and AR. But if you are using group reporting, you can either join BKPF for the field XBLNR, or write the value of XBLNR to other fields like XREF1 using BADI or user exists.
3. For the daily operation, trasactional currency amount is used for matching. For the period end closing,  group currency amount is used for reconciliation.

Thanks Vinczek I saw note 3114237 before I posted - it's helpful for the import - thank you.     Question 1 was how is data extracted from ECC - so based on your #2 matching answer we would need a BAdI to extract and to prepare a file layout that matches the upload format including inserting field XBLNR to XREF1?    Regards, Eyal
