Hi Expert,
I have a request from user where they wanted to change the actual data from periodic to YTD value. Currently, they have a periodic model where all data (actual, forecast, budget) from ECC and user's input are loaded / entered in periodic amount monthly. Now, they requested to have actual data to be loaded / entered in YTD value monthly. They wanted to apply this to actual data only and the forecast / budget will remain as periodic. Is this something possible?
I am thinking of creating a YTD model to store the actual data. All the current reports / input template might have some problem as the actual data now resides in a new YTD model. The reports might need to be redesigned if it is showing actual, budget, forecast data in one report as the data resides in different model now. I am not sure if there is any other impact which might happen if we do this. Appreciate if you could provide some advise.
Thank you.

Please look on IFRS kit setup as a sample!
You can use 2 cubes:
YTD with actual load from BW and some YTD reporting
Periodic with budgeting data entry - input forms. And some periodic reports.
2 scripts:
Copy from YTD to periodic for actual
Copy from Periodic to YTD for budget data.
In the report you have to use single model depending on figures - if most figures are periodic - use periodic model and get ytd figures from the same model using ytd measure. Same for YTD reports

"They wanted to apply this to actual data only and the forecast / budget will remain as periodic. Is this something possible?" = No - only separate Periodic and YTD cubes with data transfer between cubes using script logic or badi.

Hi Vadim,
Thanks for the reply. So there is no other way where we could cater that user's requirement? How about pushing the YTD actual value in the new model back to the periodic model later? Not sure if this will make sense. I understand that a report could connect to different cubes to get data. It is not advisable to do so because of performance issue?
Thank you.
