Impact on BPC while doing a system copy of BW Prod to BW QAS

HI All,

We have BW PROD with BPC.

Have got BW QAS with BPC.

Now it is planned for BW QAS refreshing with BW PROD

So when the BW system copy happens from BW Prod to BW QAS, I would like to know if there is any impact on BPC (Prod/QAS) connections/portal side

This is the first time we are doing the BW system copy which has BPC. So we would like to know if any implications on this.

Can anyone advise on this please.

Hi Suresh,

I am not much aware of BPC but in general whenever you do a system copy from production to quality in any BI system the system table references needs to be changed from production source system to quality source system.

This impacts mainly source system dependent objects. So as to change this basis team executes BDLS transaction which sets the proper references.

As a BW consultant you will have to test the data extraction from source system and just check the query execution. The system reference change task will be done by BASIS team.
