my client has RE-FX-LA what would be the procedure for transferring an asset?

Are you talking about Finance lease Contract (Legacy Data)?
If yes, then Transfer the Old Asset to RoU Asset by using ABUMN.
Please check Note No. 2544232 on Migration.
