IDM as data source in GRC

Hi Team,

We want to maintain IDM as main data source of user details in GRC. So we need GRC table GRACUSER should be populated with user details pulled from IDM.

1. What steps to perform in IDM and GRC for the above scenario ? What all GRC webservices need to be activated for this scenario ?

2. Please clarify whether RFC connection name (between IDM and GRC) should be same both in IDM and GRC ?

3. Also please clarify whether repository object synch job in GRC will work for IDM same as other connectors ?

Hi Amar,

Answers for the above questions are as below,

1. IdM doesn't communicate directly with GRC, however you will need to configure VDS in oder to pull user details from IdM to GRC via VDS. Also you need to activate all required webservices in GRC. The list of Webeservices you can find through tcode SE80 in GRC.

2. You need create a repository for the GRC10 in IDM, and create rfc with connector of type G, i.e. HTTP.

3. As I know Repository object synch job works for abap system only, however you can check for other connector type G.
