How we can derive Budget Address by referring the posting address in SAP FM

Hi,

I have a scenario like I want to give budget against one Internal Order (Statistical) as funded program with combination of Cost Center and I want to post the expenses against another Internal Order.

How we can derive the Budgeting address and check the available budget by referring the posting address.

If someone already had this kind of experience please suggest me.

Hi,

Derivation of budget address is standard procedure. You can define budget derivation strategy via IMG - Public Sector Management - Funds Management Government - Master Data - Use of Account Assignment Elements - Budget Structure (BCS) - Define Derivation Strategy for Budget Addresses.

I suggest you to browse help.sap.com for basic material on PSM-FM configuration. You can also consult my blog, with a link to a book I wrote on the subject.

Is it required to link these two addresses some where in SAP FM system? in Budget address derivation strategy system proposing the Budget address and FM address. Is it required to create the funded program for both the addresses?

Please elaborate little bit more.

I'm afraid, you have to get acquainted first with the basics of PSM-FM. Unfortunately I cannot answer your questions, as it requires a full introduction to the terms of what is 'budget address' and how it is composed. I suggest you to become familiar with PSM-FM structure first, before starting the configuration
