How to upload G/L master data template in SAP S4HANA Public cloud STARTER SYSTEM ?

Hi All,

We uploaded G/L template in DEV system through Manage Operating Chart of account with " Expert Worklist " option. But,  In starter system we not found " Expert Worklist " option in Manage Operating Chart of account app.

Please suggest us way how upload G/L template in Starter system.

The Starter System in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition has certain restrictions compared to the DEV system, as it is mainly used for evaluation and initial configuration rather than full-scale development. If you don't see the "Export Worklist" option in the Manage Operating Chart of Accounts app in the Starter System, here are a few possible reasons and workarounds:

Possible Reasons:

1. Limited Functionalities in Starter System:

The Starter System may not support full data migration functionalities like the DEV system.

Some options, including "Export Worklist", might be disabled or not available in the Starter System.

2. Missing Business Role Assignment:

The role assigned to your user in the Starter System might not have the necessary authorization.

Check if your user has the required role (e.g., SAP_BR_GL_ACCOUNTANT or similar).

3. Differences in System Versions or Configuration:

The DEV and Starter Systems might have slight variations in features due to updates or configurations.

Possible Workarounds:

1. Check for Alternative Apps

Try using these Fiori apps instead:

Migrate Your Data (for legacy data migration)

Import Financial Plan Data (to check if you can import via another method)

Manage G/L Account Master Data (to manually check and verify uploaded data)

2. Manually Upload the G/L Master Data

If the Export Worklist option is unavailable, try manually uploading your G/L master data:

Use the "Manage Your Solution" App

a. Open Manage Your Solution in Fiori.

b. Search for G/L Master Data or Finance Configuration.

c. Look for an upload option or migration functionality.

Use the "Migrate Your Data" App (Data Migration Cockpit)

a. Open Migrate Your Data in Fiori.

b. Select the appropriate migration object (G/L Accounts).

c. Upload the G/L master data template.

3. Use the API Approach (If Feasible)

If SAP provides an API for G/L master data uploads, you might be able to use an OData or SOAP API to upload the data programmatically.

4. Contact SAP Support

If you suspect a system limitation, raise an SAP support ticket to confirm whether "Export Worklist" is deliberately restricted in the Starter System.
