How to solve error occur while opening transformation or conversion file in SAP BPC 10.1 using excel add-in ?

Hi to all,

This issue is in regards to error occur while opening of transformation or conversion file in SAP BPC 10.1 on HANA using excel add-in. Earlier I was able to open the same transformation file while opening the same in excel add - in, so could be the cause or reason for the same  ? For error reference I am attaching screenshot of the same error. I am using M.S. Office 2010 on one machine and having M.S. Office 2013 on another machine. I am able to open that file in office 2013 but unable to open the same in Office 2010.

Error message "Office has detected a problem with this file. To help protect your computer this file cannot be opened."

Thanks in advance... kindly guide me to solve the this problem.

Few SP levels are not supporting to MS-office 2010,..to do so upgrade your SP.

Suggest to go with MS-office 2013 for better performance and compatibility with SP24.

We had the same issue with MSOFFICE ver 2010  SP22 ,waiting for quick response

HI Ganapathi,

Kindly use epm add in version 10 SP 24 which will solve your issue. Also check whether you have MS office version with 32 bit and your OS should also be 32 bit.

Is this happening for all transformation / conversion file or only to specific file ?

From the description it looks like the error  is related to MS office trust center setting's.
