How To Set YTD (Year To Date)

Dear Expert,

Synopsis

I've setting the "YTDINPUT" option is N/A at BPC Administration Web. After that, I send all data using input schedule which was set "PERIODIC" on measure dimension. I never see the error message. And I need to make the report YTD, so I should change the setting "YTDINPUT" is "YES" at BPC Administration Web. After that, I process the application using BPC.

1. All data in database was changed automaticlly, why it is happen ?

2. When I sent data using input schedule which was set "YTD" on measure dimension, I get the error message. Why it is happen ?

3. It's important for me, how to set the SAP BPC to report is YTD and the input schedule is PERIODIC ?

Hi Wandi,

Basically the "YTDINPUT" is used to inform the server in which format the input data is going to be.

By default it is periodic,so the options

N/A-Periodic

No-Periodic

Yes-YTD

Depending on what option you set,you have to select the corresponding member for the measures dimension in the current view of the input schedule. Eg.If you set as "Yes" then the CV member should be "YTD" else if "No"/"N/A" it should be "Periodic". If the measures dimension member doesn't co-ordinate with the "YTDINPUT" option you will not be able to send the data.

As far as report is concerned,depending on whether it is YTD/Periodic in CV the data is retrieved accordingly no matter the input format of the data.

So,if you want to set the report to YTD by default, select the YTD member and lock the measures dimension and for input schedule to be periodic have the default option in "YTDINPUT" and similarly select periodic and lock it.

Thanks for your information. The "YTDINPUT" option default is N/A. After that, I developed the YTD report and I make sure the YTD member is lock in page key option. I don't get the result YTD value, I only get the result in certain month value. So, I changed the "YTDINPUT" option default is YES. Then, I open that report and I get the result is YTD calculation. But I confuse why my all data are different from original and the YTD value is not valid. .
