How to replicate item attributes in sap CPQ

Hi Expert,

I am new to CPQ and trying to replicate CPQ quote to S4 via CPI, Currently standard xml which is sent from CPQ does not contain attribute selected and value at each item level

Hi Vishal,

To replicate attributes/attribute values selected in CPQ configurator to S/4HANA, CPQ Professional version is required. The prerequisite is Variant Configuration (VC or AVC) has been enabled in S/4HANA and integration to SAP Variant Configuration and Pricing (CPS) has been setup correctly.

If VC is not utilized in S/4HANA, items in Quote will be replicated as simple product instead of configurable products. The attributes/attribute values will get missing unless you have marked them as "show as line item" in product attribute definition, to make them explicitly shown as Quote items.

Thanks for reply but since we don't want to send attr as line item as it may create issues going forward with complex products we decided to completely follow custom approach i.e. create custom action and prepare custom payload using script and then send it to S4

Hi Vishal,

Thanks for the clarification. For S4 integration without VC enabled, attributes are not included in the OOTB CPI iFlows. Collecting and sending attributes via custom action and custom payload should be the correct approach for now (2104).
