How to maintain hierarchy structure in embedded BPC

I am trying to maintain the hierarchy structure for the consolidation model dimension in BPC,for S/4 HANA (embedded BPC).

I notice the only way to create the hierarchy relationship in the above screen is to use the drag and drop,move up/down,cut and paste, compare with the standard BPC  where we can build the relationship in excel file and copy it to BPC to process it.

While in the Embedded BPC, we cannot maintain the hierarchy relationship in the above member of dimension screen by using the "HIR" column,

If we have a lof of member, it will be very difficulty to maintain the hierarchy using drag and drop.

Anybody know is there another way to achieve this?

Usually in BW (embedded) hierarchies are loaded from ERP system. Do you have that hierarchy in ERP?

I get the hierarchy from ERP for my planning dimension, but I need to create the hierarchy for the consolidation dimensions, which is not from ERP but create in BPC.

Hi,

hierarchies in BPC Embedded are normal BW hierarchies. If don't like the hierarchy maintenance in the BPC AdminClient then you can use transaction RSD1. If you don't like this either you may use your favorite search engine with search string 'sap bw hierarchy upload' and the you will find some information how to fill BW hierarchies from flat files.

Hi Jian,

As per below document....one can edit the hierarchies as we can in Standard model. Please check all the steps given in this document to see whether you are missing anything...
