How to lock particular Profit Center for changing the values in SAP BPC

Hi All,

Find a way to lock those "DO_NOT_USE" Profit Centers so that manual or automatic postings cannot go to those PCs. Do we set this up as a secured dimension in the model? Need suggestion

Hi Vadim,
Thanks for the response, I suggested BADI approach , as I assumed from the point that option/attribute DO NOT USE is dynamic in the Profict centre/entity dimension and may be changing, which can picked up easily in the BADI class and validated against data imports and journals.
In case of securing the dimension, the admin will be still able to post the data in any form, unless it is taken care manually

I do not understand your point!

How "dynamic" is related to badi???

For example, for security dimension access rights can be defined by dimension property - very easy!

Number of options:

1. Secure dimension for PC

2. Validation rule without any badi

3. Validation rule with badi like in Harsha answer

4. Write back badi logic.
