How to load legacy financial transactional data to S4HANA

Hi team,

We're part of S4HANA Migration Project where the ask is to migrate legacy transaction data to S4HANA. Generally during any S4HANA Migration Project we have to migrate the opening balances (balance sheet and PnL) which we're already doing via HANA Migration Cockpit. However the challenge with us that we have to migrate even monthly transactional data for -

a) Balance Sheet GL Transactions (actuals)

b) PnL GL Transactions (actuals)

Please advise if we have any migration object available that can support this type of load.

From the Migration Cockpit's perspective, you could check the available Migration Objects of the app in the official Help Portal page:

It's important to mention though that the Migration Cockpit can't used constantly (as monthly) for data uploads/updates, as it's meant to be used as the initial data load performed in the system, explained in KBA below:

I'd like to emphasize a few phrases of the KBA above:

• The SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit tool and content is not build to be used as a kind of mass processing app to change or update existing data.
• You should use the provided interfaces or mass processing apps of the business object application area instead. For more information about maintenance apps, check the SAP Fiori Library.

Thanks Caio for swift response. There are migration objects available like FI - Accounts Payable Open Items(new G/L), FI - Historical balance etc. but there are no standard migration objects available for Balance Sheet GL Transactions (daily) and PnL GL Transactions(daily). If you come across of such requirements then please let me know
