Scenario: One off charge required based on contract type (Bronze $10, silver $20, gold $30). In biz config Im creating rate element and find Im unable to choose data source which is defaulted to none, but I want it to be 'subscription parameter'
This would enable me to use a table in PCS where I define contract type charges. Then when creating subscription the selected subscription parameter would drive the correct charge.
The other thing I noticed when defining Rate Element is One-Time Type is permenantly 'Initial Fee'. Im not sure then what the purpose of this parameter can be if I cannot configure One-Time Types
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Amer,
did you consider using custom references or product configuration properties?
You can make use of them in any charge after mapping them in the "pricing field mapping" in the business configuration.
There's a blog post explaining the set-up for a very similar case:

Best regards
