how to add new characteristic into General Data Selection in report painter

Dear Team,

Created a new report by copying the 4FM library and 4FBUDCON report.

As per requirement we don't want certain commitment items information in report output. how we can exclude those commitment items values.

Example: for Certain G/L's we assigned "Dummyy" commitment item. Commitment item category assigned as 3.

Hence I am requesting all, please let me know how to mitigate this.

Hi,

Normally, these things are handled via selection parameters. I.e. you exclude certain values when you run the report. You can also create groups which would exclude/include the required values and run your report on them. Of course, it is also possible to 'hardcode' the exclusion in the report itself, but it is not advisable, as it is not transparent.
