How do I segregate PBF form access based on authorization characteristics?

Hello Gurus,

I am currently working on a project where the end goal is to be able to assign one role in an SAP Portal, and have back-end permissions decide what forms a person is able to see on that portal based on what fund centre they are a member of.

I have gone into RSECADMIN and set up the characteristic authorizations, I have gone into /PBFBI/AUTH_ADMIN and set up the hierarchy authorizations, and insured that the characteristic /PBFBI/FUND_CT is marked as Authorization Relevant.

Any time I attempt to revoke access to the 0BI_ALL characteristic authorization default, NONE of the forms become available on the portal, and there is an SU53 result returned showing that the 0BI_ALL characteristic group is REQUIRED by some function module of the current portal setup--it doesn't even check the filtering characteristic groupings I have set up.

Run the BW trace and find what exact value is missing. This will help you to view exact dimension required to control.
