How can we use Custom BW Process chain in BPC Data Manager Package

Hi Team,

We have a BW Custom process Chain.

We want to create a BPC Data Manager package without using the standard BW process chain (/CPMB/TRIGGER_BW_CHAIN) to trigger the underlying Custom BW Process Chain.

It should be like directly selecting the Custom Process Chain in Data Manager package.

How can we achieve this technically.

Regards,
SHUBHAM

Sorry, but TRIGGER_BW_CHAIN has no relation to MDOF.

You have to implement MDOF according to the guide...

Then you will have ZUJDX_MDOF_PC as a custom BPC chain! Some corrections to ABAP code may be required.

Thanks Vadim for the suggestion!

I am also checking if the below document would be applicable to BPC 11.1 standard.

https://blogs.sap.com/2015/08/30/create-master-data-on-the-fly-in-sap-businessobjects-planning-and-c...

Do share if you have any inputs on this implementation in BPC 11.0 or 11.1 standard.

Yes, this document is the latest. And transport files can be downloaded. Just implement solution according to this document.

P.S.:

By the way, what do you want to achieve with MDOF in terms of business logic?

Hi Vadim,

We are implementing HR Planning model

User wants to create new Employee positions on the fly in EPM report to plan their salaries.

The Guide for 10.1 NW is working smoothly as you suggested in 11.1 as well.

Thanks,

"User wants to create new Employee positions on the fly in EPM report to plan their salaries."

Can be some issues with parallel work of multiple users...

What do you mean by "that's not possible"? For sure, the original question was wrong, but after some explanation it's more or less clear!
