Hi Onireke,

There are 2 ways to create a credit in RE-FX:

1. If you have already made a posting e.g. 1000 p/m and you want to reduce that you can update the amount to e.g. 800 and the system will automatically create a 200 credit. You will get a warning message when you update the condition that is already posted because the system will create a retrospective posting. Also make sure what time period the credit is for because you might have to create a time slice which the system will automatically prompt for in the warning message that you will receive. Whenever you make your change ALWAYS simulate the cashflow first before saving so you can see the impact of your change. If it is not correct just exit without saving and redo your change.
2. Normally customer will have a condition type for "rent" and a separate for "rent credit" or "abatement" or "discount" depending on what it is called locally but they all do the same. The configuration for the account symbols is configured in reverse than what is done for the rent condition type so that a manual reversal can be entered, without touching the original rent posting.
