we have a strange issue:

we have 3 entities under a node.

entity 1

entity 2

entity 3.

entity 1 displays periodic, Ytd figures in USD, EUR, LC, which is good.

Entity 2 and Entity 3 displays periodic, ytd figures in USD and LC correctly,

        but when we select EUR the YTD figures become '0'.

the effect on the report is that the actual data is same as YTD. on the report.

i have attached the copy of a report i created for reference.

as in the attached screen shot there is negative value appearing in June and Sep and making the YTD zero.

can some one please let me know what should be done.

NO I wasn't allowed on production system.

Actuals data is always handled by users any thing with actual users have to handle.

we are having the same issue again, for NOV and DEC no EUR figures after FX restatement.

also rates are maintained.

I do not know what to do now. can you please advice any information is appreciated.

Have you performed tests on the copy of the environment?

Then you have to set GROUP - not set in your previous tests.

Anyway, create copy of the environment and perform all tests!

Can you manually (using input form) change some figure in 2015.JUN in LC and then run currency conversion again?

What do you mean by RATEENTITY=EUR?

And where is CURRENCY setting?

i cant as its done by users specially actuals. Data is audited aswell.  i will have to check.

for even 2015.NOV we have LC data and USD,

after currency conversion NOV monthly and YTD are not generated in EUR.

Unfortunately you have to test...

You can make a fresh copy of the whole environment and perform tests on the copy...

But anyway you have to describe full currency conversion setup - without the detailed info it's impossible to find the reason!

Exchange rates are maintained,

after running currency conversion the EUR figures are not populated.

Then, please run currency conversion script in UJKT for the month with issue for EUR and show the log. This issue is not related to YTD result etc...!

Sorry, but your screenshot is not demonstrating the issue!

You have to show both PERIODIC and YTD on the same report  for Entity 2 for EUR!

What is the model type - YTD or PERIODIC?

Also, please provide BPC and BW version and SP!

Model Type YTD.

we have BPC10 sp15.

all the reports works fine. we have issue only with these  two entities and when currency selection of EURO.

please note when USD and LC is selected we dont have any issue with YTD figures.

report works fine for other entities for all currencies and measures.

If your model type is YTD - then YTD report is showing what is really inside the cube! And I see no issues on 3.PNG: PERIODIC figures are correctly calculated from YTD figures...

Data for JAN, JUN, SEP, NOV and DEC in YTD is missing - but I can't comment on it...

What is 2.PNG about - I don't know...

Hi Vadim,

The issue with with periodic it is aggregating feb - may and showing negative value in june and making YTD figure zero.

There no YTD generated in JUNE.

July- Aug aggregates and Negative values shows in Sep.

There is no YTD generated in Sep.

for LC and USD we do not have any issues.

Image 2.PNG is the Report how it looks when we run for EUR.

i hope i have described the issue correctly.

This is absolutely correct behavior of periodic measure for YTD model. If you have no data for some month in YTD then it assumes zero YTD value. Periodic will be negative previous month ytd. It's a basic thing!

i understand the behavior of periodic now.

my concern is YTD figures:

- if there was no data in the month of June as in image 3.png.

   - YTD figure of the month JUNE should be the aggregation of feb-may which is 1268232.888

    YTD becoming zero as no data in june

- YTD for July should be aggregation of feb-june which in this case is becoming "0"

JULY YTD and periodic are the same as in image 3.png.

and then the same repeats for sep and nov.

is there any way to display YTD figures correctly,  i mean aggregating feb-may for june and same for sep and nov.

please let me know.

Sorry, but you stil don't understand the measures definition. If you have no data in some month then the systems assumes ZERO value in this month!

Zero for YTD - means zero value at the end of the month...

I understood the behavior of the system,

the LC and USD figures are displayed correctly we only have issue with EUR and only for two entities.

LC @ USD for the two entities we dont have any issue

only when we choose EUR we have issue.

i have attached a screenshot for reference.

can you please share your thoughts, any workaround please let me know.

If you have no data in EUR for some month - then you simply didn't run currency conversion to EUR for this month. Or missing EUR rates for this month. No magic!
