Group reporting 2023, icmr, wsl amount

Hello community, we are reaching out because we have upgraded the version of Group Reporting from 1909 to 2023. We are currently reviewing/redesigning the settings for the ICMR part and at the moment we only see the data sources SF_JOURNAL_ENTRIES_02 and SF_JOURNAL_ENTRIES_03.

For the client’s requirements, we need to configure a data source that retrieves data from both ACDOCU and ACDOCA, with the ability to view the data in WSL. Could you advise us on how to proceed? We do not have the Preparation Ledger activated (and we won’t activate it).

ICA_CONSJOURNALENTRIES_2 can be used if Group Reporting preparation ledger is not active. It joins ACDOCA and ACDOCU.

Which CDS view to be assigned to your data source depends on the entity (company or consolidation unit) and the data to be processed. See first section of https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_ON-PREMISE/4ebf1502064b406c964b0911adfb3f01/c9027ed077454271a7d...

Hi Grace, Could you confirm if using ICA_CONSJOURNALENTRIES_2 allows me to view the WSL amounts? Additionally, the documentation then suggests using ICA_CONSJOURNALENTRIES_5 or ICA_CONSJOURNALENTRIES_7 for performance reasons. Do these two also allow me to view the WSL amounts? I find it hard to understand from the manual. Thank you for your availability.

ICA_CONSJOURNALENTRIES_2, ICA_CONSJOURNALENTRIES_5 and ICA_CONSJOURNALENTRIES_7 all join ACDOCA and ACDOCU. But WSL amounts don't exist in ACDOCU, they are casted as TSL amounts in these CDS views. Please read the help section. Literal WSL only exists in Accounting CDS views such as SC_JOURNAL_ENTRIES_01. To view the available fields in a CDS view, check field semantics in ICADS after assigning the CDS view to a data source.

The detailed configuration delivered with the scope items can be found in attachments of https://me.sap.com/notes/2965516. If you don't get the content by installing 1SG, you can also create your own data sources based on CDS view ICA_CONSJOURNALENTRIES_4 (joining ACDOCU and ACDOCA) in ICADS.

Hi Grace, thank you, but in the documentation it's said that ICA_CONSJOURNALENTRIES_4 works only with active preparation ledger, while this is not our case. Moreover, it's said that "Both TSL and WSL are available in the Accounting CDS views". Does this mean that we have to use the accounting cds to have WSL amount? isn't possible with the other cds? Thank you in advance for your confirmation and your support.
