Group Reporting (1SG) - Is it possible to bypass it by creating a Chart of Account?

Hello Experts!

I have a theoretical question that came to mind, and I would appreciate your insights. Would it be possible to bypass the 1SG scope item by creating a custom chart of accounts and assigning YCOA accounts to it? In this scenario, the customer could have a chart of accounts named "Group CoA" and use it for consolidation.

While we are proceeding with the implementation of 1SG, I am curious to know whether this approach would be a viable alternative or if there are any limitations to consider.

Looking forward to your thoughts.

Dear,

Scope item 1SG, group reporting does not use group chart of accounts , rather, it uses FS items to map G/L accounts to replicate and aggregate accounting postings to GR

Group chart of accounts is used for BPC or  to extract accounting data from SAP to external system for consolidation

Hello!

Apologies if my post was unclear. To clarify, I would like to know if it is possible to use the 'Edit Chart of Account List' activity in CBC to create a Group Chart of Accounts. Specifically, I am asking if YCOA accounts can be assigned to the Group CoA created and whether this chart of accounts can then be used for consolidation purposes.

Any guidance or insights on this would be greatly appreciated.
