Hi all,
We have the following business case.
On the same day, a customer purchases 2 different subscriptions:
3 months after the creation of these subscriptions, an invoice is created for the first one, including the recurring charge.
6 months after the creation of these subscriptions, would it be possible to have the information of both subscriptions in the invoice or in another object?
BR,
Alberto

Hi Alberto,
Yes, correct.
In the given example a grouping within SAP Subscription Billing is not possible because of the different billing periods. In general SAP Subscription Billing is also grouping charges from multiple subscriptions into one bill if they have certain properties in common. See also the related documentation to this.

Hi Ralf,
Thanks for your answer.
Therefore, this grouping in the downstream process would be done in a different system than the SAP Subscription Billing, e.g. SAP 4 Hana but never in the SAP Subscription Billing.
Am I right?

Hello Alberto,
Due to the different billing periods, separate bills are created for the subscriptions in SAP Subscription Billing.
However, a grouping in 6-month intervals would still be possible when processing the two billing requests in the downstream process. There, combining the two billing requests into one billing document should be possible if no other criteria (e.g. different payment methods or different account assignments) do force a split.
Best regards
Ralf
