Gropup reporting on premise 2023/SP1 - enable the hierarchy for WBS elements

Hi,

With the code transnactionFINCS_ADDLFLD_SEL_U, you can manage the hierarchy in group reporting modul

You can activate the hierarchy for cost center, profit center, business area, functional aera,etc..

But you can't active the hierarchy for wbs elements , see the copy

Do you know the reason ?

Hello Wissler,

Only reason I can think of is this: WBS element has a superordinate field maintained as project. For this field we have the option to enable hierarchy. From IMG Documentation: Some master data fields have a Superordinate Field, which is used to restrict or separate the data records of a master data field.

If we enable the hierarchy for project then either the enablement for WBS will be automatically taken care, or may not be required.

hello , Yes , with the module PS in S4 , there is two dimensions (project for the first level and for the other levels its wbs elments) for the same hierarchy. Anyway, that be would a good idea to have hierarchy for the wbs elemennt hierarchy

the master cds view only handle the hierarchy within the same table via HRRP*. So the node is text rather than other dimension such as project -> WBS. In a word, level based hierarchy or external hierarchy ( BW terminology ) is not supported in this case.
