Funds Management-BCS- Availability check from one dimension to another dimensions

Dear Experts,

Our client is using funds management with BCS. client requirement is to check the availability control from one dimension to another dimensions in same PO. Please find the below example.

We are using fund, fund center, commitment item, funded program, functional area and budget period in budgeting as well availability control.

1.Budget posted with FUND-X,FC-X,CI-X,FP-X,FA-X and BP-2023

2.Purchase order line item also created with FUND-X,FC-X,CI-X,FP-X,FA-X and BP-2023 and budget got consumed with same dimensions.

3.No GR and IR posted for this PO

4.After sometime they will delete the line item and create the line item with new dimensions like FUND-Y,FC-Y,CI-Y,FP-Y,FA-Y and BP-2023

the requirement is business will not post the budget to new dimensions and budget should check the previous dimensions(FUND-X,FC-X,CI-X,FP-X,FA-X and BP-2023).

Be aware that by creating such a rule, you apply it for ALL postings on Y objects to be diverted to X, i.e., not only those which were created following a deletion of X line, but also completely stand-alone postings on Y-objects. Is it what you want? Regarding your second question, there should be a mapping stored in this way or another; either in a rule or in some other place. System won't know by its own to substitute FP or any other object for that matter. So, unless you can program the system in this way (through master data attribute, or some built-in stable pattern), you would have to maintain the mapping.

I'm not sure I understand the requirement. If you delete the line of a PO and create a new one, then obviously the budget will be checked in correspondence with the new line, and not the one which was deleted and doesn't exist anymore.

Thanks for the reply.

I have created the derivation rule in the derivation strategy for the control objects and able to post the PO with old dimensions( FUND-X,FC-X,CI-X,FP-X,FA-X and BP-2023 ) where new line item added in the PO with new dimensions(FUND-Y,FC-Y,CI-Y,FP-Y,FA-Y and BP-2023).

Note: Commitment item and functional area are common

Our concern is we have so many funded programs so it is difficult to maintain all the FP in the derivation rule.

kindly let me know any other way to overwrite the source and target fields where we can not have to maintain all the funded programs in the derivations rule.
