Dear all
I am facing the following challenge. We are using sales orders for complex products that get installed at a client site. Each order might contain between 20 and 160 items. From an IFRS15 perspective they have to be handled as one POB, so we would use compound structures with non-distinct POBs.
Now we are struggling because of fulfilment. Revenue is supposed to be recognized in full once the installation of the product (= the compound POB) is accepted by the client. My understanding is that usually we would see a POC based fulfilment on compound POB level. But this is not what is needed in our example. We would need a possibility to fulfill the overall compound structure all at once. Is that possible?
Thanks in advance for any help on this topic.
Greetings
Andreas
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Andreas:
If you are using classing contract management, you can use the BADI FARR_BADI_COMPOUND_FULFILLMENT
If you are using optimized contract management, unluckily, there is no standard BADI. An enhancement might be needed.

Hi Xin
Thanks for your reply. Currently we are using Classic. But a move to S/4 is planned. Will the solution still work with the move to S/4 or is the classic functionality not available anymore then?
Again, thanks.

Hi Andreas
To provide flexibility of PoC calculation is on the roadmap for customers moving to S/4. However, there is no committed timeline on this.
There might be a new BADI with new input/out parameter as it has to fit to the new technical guideline of S/4.
But basically it shall provide the same business functionality.
Best Regards
Xin
