Frozen consolidation process (recurrent)

Dear all,

We have the situation where after we run the Consolidation via Consolidation Monitor and we see that all steps are done, the status remains in "Running".

As I learnt from SCN, the way to solve it is following the steps recomended in the following discussion: https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3456011

But my question is, what about if the issue is recurrent? We cannot solve everytime the issue in the same way when it is happening several times. Is there any possible reason for this issue?

For calling RUNLOGIC_PH - simply don't specify the target environment - current environment will be used 🙂

Remove line APPSET=xxx

Hello,

Finally we found another reason for that behavior. The issue was happening only in Environment copies, so we checked the Script Logics and BAdIs related to the Consolidation process and we found some calls to the Environment using its name. Of course, that name was hardcoded, so the name of the Environment copy was different and that Consolidation process couldn't finish and it wasn't writing the flag when the process finished.

Are you talking about RUNLOGIC_PH badi?

Yes, exactly.

It is part of the issue, together with the Validation BAdI (Enhancement Spot: UJ_VALIDATION_RULE_LOGIC).

Should I consider something special regarding RUNLOGIC_PH?
