Hello,
We would like to get some informations to have the corresponding solution between Former Budgeting vs BCS as far as budgeting is concerned. Indeed, we now work with assignment objects because the assignments are to be checked on a the highest budget level, but the budget is distributed in a very detailed way.
As an example, we are using the following solution in SAP production environnement (TCODE : FM9K).
§ Hierarchy : Funds center / Commitment accounts
§ Account : Level 1 Higher level - Level 2
§ Budgeting at level 2 (2051xx) thanks to a specific program to control it
§ Posting is done at level 1 and level 2
§ Assignment is checked at level 1 (assignment objet at level 1) Funds commitments are generated at level 2
Would you mind telling us how to proceed to get the same rules to be applied in BCS for budgeting, accounting and commitment ?
Would you have any example ?
Thanks a lot for your helps.

Hi,
In BCS, this requirement is answered with more flexibility than in Former Budgeting. You can deal with it either with budgetary addresses (if you prefer to work with budget structure) or with AVC rules. You would be able to look for the budget at the upper level, while posting on the lower level without any trouble.

Eli
