FMDERIVE is using the posting date from the value contract in reference for the creation of a sales order (business transaction SDOR) instead of using the Requested deliv.date in t-code VA01 create with reference/release from contract screen. Therefore deriving the wrong value based on the valid from date. This derivation rule is called derive funded program from FA and the values are FA 1330-3220 derive funded program BGB02 valid from 2018-04-01 and 1330-3220 derive funded program AAW00 valid from 2015-04-01.
The value contract posting date is 20160520 and the sales order posting date in reference to the contract is the current date based on the "Requested deliv.date" and the funded program AAW00 is derived instead of BGB02 therefore causing an error since funded program AAW00 is not valid at the current date (or today's date).
We found a work around solution by modifying the value contract document date to today's date before creating the sales order in reference to the contract and FMDERIVE used the sales order creation date or the new value contract document date to validate the derivation rule with the correct funded program.
Which transaction is the cause FMDERIVE or VA01? Is it the transaction VA01 create sales order with reference to a value contract that initially push the wrong posting date to FMDERIVE? We are looking for a solution that is transparent to the user instead of asking them to change the value contract document dates.
