FM posting date when creating new PO

We are using FM update profile 000350, for value type 51 we are using "posting date".

when I create PO on 07.01.2020 which document date is '01.12.2019' the FM posting date is '01.12.2019'

when I add a new PO item for the same PO on 07.01.2020 the FM posting date for the new item is '07.01.2020'

According to my business process I need that the FM posting date will be always the current date when the PO is created, without changing the Document date.

It means that if PO document date is XX.XX.2019 but the PO was created in year 2020 the FM posting date should be the creation date.

Please advice,

Evgeni

Hi,

What do you mean 'FM date' should be always a 'current date'? If in your profile the default is posting date of the PO, then FM posting date will be based on it: PO document date.

If you want to make it flexible and base it on each item, you should change the settings of the profile in OF36 and base the PO FM posting date on due or delivery date.

Regards,
Eli

Eli thanks for the quick response,

It looks like 'due date' gives me the the right response to my needs, even though it means I can't use 'period base' for 'PB encumbrance tracking' as I wished.

the strange thing about 'posting date' was that when I changed PO in me22n the 'posting date' was the current date and not the 'document date'. IF I am not wrong, it should be document date for all PO lines without connection if I am in creation or changing mode.
