FM: cannot get cost center when both CC and WBS exist

Hi expert,

We are using FM and PS. We just want to control budget for cost centers.

When we maintain both cost center and WBS element, the cost center cannot be read, so correct funds center cannot be derived from cost center.

We test in another system, it is OK to get cost center.

Please advise where the problem is.

Thanks and regards,

Jing

The problem is solved. It is a configuration point, T-code: OFUP.

We checked 'Only use real CO objects' previously, so the statistic cost center couldn't be read.

It is relevant, as you could see that the note mentions also FMDERIVE and inability to derive statistical CO object, and in your case, cost centre will be statistical, if WBS is a real one.

Hi,

This is standard behaviour. Please, consult OSS note:

Hi Eli,

Thank you.

But this note is not my case. My problem is not with the report.

We want to derive funds center from cost center, not WBS element. The problem is, when I create the journal entry with both cost center and WBS, the cost center is empty in derivation strategy, so the funds center cannot be derived successfully. You can see the second screenshot in original question.

I have already moved the derivation rule 'cost center to funds center' prior to 'WBS to commitment item/funds center...'.

Thanks and regards,

Jing
