fixed asset partial sell

hi,

in SAP B1 we a have a fixed asset that is the whole rack in the warehouse in one location, we need to sell part of the asset to another location.

is there any type of process where we can create another fixed asset based on a partial of the main asset?

for example we have a complete PC, but we want to sell the keyboard or a mouse

Hi Erik

If my understanding of your business process is correct what you intend to do is feasible using fixed asset transactions

1-You do A/R Sales Invoice using the fixed Asset, Or alternatively using the Fixed Asset Transaction , Retirement with Sales, partial: you need to estimate how much of the asset is retired understanding that you retire Net Book Value, at the time when, according to the Convention for retirement set in the Depreciation Type assigned to the asset, the retirement should take effect, and proportional to the APC value set to be retired from the total APC of the asset.

2-After that you can create a new asset Master Data, and use the Asset Transfer, transaction for the rest of the asset.
