Failure to install EPM Add In

Hi,

I have a user who can't seem to install the EPM Add In for 10.0 SP 19 on his Excel.

He's received an exe file from us, but after going through the sequence, he cannot see the "EPM" and "Data Manager" tab on his excel.

It's also not found in the Excel "Add-ins" list.

Any idea?

I recommend to connect to the user's PC and perform installation yourself.

I would agree with others that there could be n number of reasons as to why installation is failing. Here is the procedure that we have been following:

Prerequisites:

• User has been granted access to BPC system
• User has installation rights on the machine provided
• Ensure the following Microsoft Excel Settings
  • File -> Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings -> Macro Settings -> Select Enable all macros and Check “Trust access to the VBA project object model”
• Ensure that .NET 4.0 or greater is present
• Ensure that C++ Redistribution Package is present
• Run the EPM Add-In.exe

Hi,

It is possible that the user does not have admin rights.

Logging on to the users computer with an admin user is the way I have always installed the EPM Addin.
