Facing issues during Depreciation posting in SAP Cloud

Hi Community,

We are facing an issue during the depreciation run where the system displays the error: “Account assignment not available.” When we attempt to update the account assignment, another error appears: “Please change account assignment objects in new time intervals.”

We understand this error occurs when postings already exist. Upon checking, we found that depreciation has been posted under Depreciation Area 15 for November with Journal Entry G000003452, but there are no postings under other depreciation areas.

Could you please guide us on:

Where is this G-series journal entry posted? and this entry cannot be reversed
How can we proceed to post depreciation for Depreciation Areas 01 and 34 for November?

Hi R_Pooja,

G-series journal entries (like G000003452) are typically posted in the General Ledger and integrated with Asset Accounting. These entries are stored in standard SAP tables (BKPF, BSEG) and represent system-generated depreciation postings that maintain the link between FI and AA modules.  

And refer to note 3462751 - Error message FAA_MD122 - 'Please change account assignment objects in new time intervals'... to better understand error msg.

Did you try to use job template Recalculate Depreciation in app Schedule Asset Accounting Jobs to maitain related value in field ledger and depreciation area 01 and 34?
