Hi everyone,
the open or save dialog in the EPM excel add-in displays the information when a report or layout was saved for the last time and the size of the file. However, I cannot find any information about which user saved a report/layout.
Is there any possibility to get this information?
Is there a table in the BW in which this information is stored?
Thanks in advance and best regards,
Benjamin

HI Benjamin,
I don't know the exact solution for this, but if you want check it once -
Try this-
In BPF tempalte - > Activities -> Edit Workspaces - > Hyper link - > Target action -> Microsoft excel - > open specific template - > browser
Now you can able to see "Created By"
"THIS IS NOT THE SOLUTION" Just work around.

There is no "business case" ... it's for tracking 😉
A few days ago we had the issue that opening an important report ended in an empty excel workbook because some user accidentally saved an empty workbook with the same name.
Anyway, back to my question:
We are not using the BPF and the reports are not locked (at the moment).
Is there any other possibility to get this information?
Anyway, back to my question:
"There are different types of save and open... Which one you are talking about?"
You can save file on the web folders or you can save it simply on the network share!
And this type of tracking is useless - use different methodology (locked templates and backup).

Sorry, I was referring to the server root folder and not the local drive or the network share.
We don't want to trace it permanently. I was just wondering if there is an easy way to find out who saved a single report in the server root folder, because there is already the information about the date and time of the last change right in the save/open window.
Hi Benjamin,
There are different types of save and open... Which one you are talking about?
Also what do you mean by " which user saved a report/layout" - last save or?? And what is the business case?
