EVPVO function in BPC 10.0

Hi Experts,

What is the use of EVPOV function in BPC 7.5. We are migrating the reports from 7.5 MS  to 10.0 MS

I gone through some links , now in 10.0 the functions are not available.

Can any one help me how to overcome this problem.

Hi Harini,

The use of EVPOV is  it returns the current view member of specified dimension.

For example in current view i have category dimension and has Actual as dimension member in current view so it will retrieve actual.

=EVPOV("Planning","category")

it will show me actual.

in BPC 10 You can use EPMcontextmember function to show the context member.

HI,

Basically EVPOV will show the context member only and EVCVW will give list of member when you double click on that cell.

Below are the parameters foe each functions

I have current view setting for time is 2008.total

=EVPOV("app name","dimension name")

=EVPOV("Planning","time")

Result 2008.total

=EVCVW("appname","dimension","filterlist")

=EVCVW("planning","time","year=2008")

Result it will give list of all member who have year property =2008.

Hi Harini,

The issue is not the usage of EVPOV in 7.5 but the requirements in BPC 10!

If you are migrating to BPC 10 MS then you are posting to the wrong space!
